Eat

This point should always be remembered. People are creatures of habit. We are in the habit of liking what we like and living as we do. We can’t just change with ease but we can change. This is especially true with the things we do most often. What is it that we do every day?

Eat. It lifts our spirits, gives us energy and keeps us healthy (or unhealthy). It’s not a problem because eating is generally good for you. You should eat and eat well. What is eating well? Eating well is eating the food nature intended for your body. It’s eating all that good food from the produce aisle.

Want a really good snack? Apples, oranges and pears come to mind, buy them, wash them and put them in plain sight. Then they are grab and go ready when ever you have the need to eat something. It’s good and good for you. You should make it a thing – bye-bye cookies. The cookies should be gone, perhaps not gone forever but just coaxed down-stairs for a few weeks while you take a break and eat healthy food for a while.

Maybe you haven’t had fresh vegetables in quite some time. I suggest starting with a salad. I fix my simple salad with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, onions and basil. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, vinegar and a little olive oil over it and it’s done. You can eat it before you have your meal or as your meal if you make it hearty enough. You will find that salad goes well with everything. Sometimes instead of rice or pasta I use salad as my base and put my meal on the top. Give it a try. Everything is washed and waiting for you in the produce aisle.
